Car crash into the sky
Staring into space with electric eyes
Even at your dying hour
You’re convinced you are invincible

Don’t expect sympathy
As you wallow in your self pity
The world shot you through
But to your own death you bear no witness

Permeable skin, a breechable mind
You’re standing in the battlefield
But you’ve got time
Lay in the grass amidst the gun fire
Watching clouds take shape and fly by
They’re more than you’ll ever be

Technicolor fantasy, a world within your mind
Pictures painted with bloody hands
A self-committed crime
Unsteady breath and shaking finger tips
But you don’t care to try
A lost cause, giving up tonight

Permeable skin, a breechable mind
You’re lying in the battlefield
Just wasting time
The grass moves around as the shots sound
But you just stare up watching clouds go by
Take shape and fly by, they’re more than you could ever be

Burning veins, blue as fire
Running through your system, pain meets desire
Frozen in place as the winner takes over
A white flag flies in sick surrender
But you’d still say you’re invincible

Permeable skin, a breechable mind
You’re dying in the battlefield
But you’ve got time
Alone in the grass, the last cannon fired
You’re eye lids fall closed on the clear blue sky

I did not write this to sound morbid or depressing but I'll say no more and leave it up to the reader to take from it what they will.
