It’s always created on the left side of my chest
But it begins in the center
Tearing and burning from the inside out
It’s unavoidable
There’s no escaping it
I can either let it over take me now or
I can try to suppress it till later
It will move up my throat and into my head
It will spread to the rest of my chest and then
my whole midsection
With shakes and shivers, I will struggle to breathe
Fortunately my eyes are blurry
I dare not to look at the image in the mirror
I try to clear my head of it and think rationally
but my mind is shattered
It’s indescribable, the pain
I guess it’s just one of the things that comes
with loving you
