I put on an act
For the world to see
Yes, I’m the new cancer
But no that’s not me
A million masks I wore this night
Yet none will make a mark
Not one fits right
Not one lights a spark
Each a different story
Each with lies and sin
Each with a path that ends
And one that begins
I told the world a story
They believed the act
Not because they were foolish
But because their world lacked
