I am from a crowded three-bedroom home,
From a truthful poem,
A dewy blade of grass,
And a purple cast,
Healing my battle wounds.
I am from a broken spirit,
From a soulful lyric,
And a cold embrace,
I didn't want to hold.
I am from rainy days,
A blissful haze,
I'm from the Lord's good hands,
A wonderful Man,
He put me on this land,
To tell you about a journey,
I am taking,
It's called Life,
And it'll have its strife.
