Through the Looking Glass
Through the looking glass I see a girl.
She sees a girl that lets her spirits whirl.
I see a girl who has to fight to move another mile.
She sees a girl with a devilish smile.
Through the looking glass I see an angel.
She sees a girl that is cursed in a living hell.
I see a girl, so innocent and so pure.
She sees a girl, so proud and so sure.
Through the looking glass I see sadness.
She sees a girl tied up in madness.
I see a girl that sits and waits.
She sees a girl with anger and hate.
Through the looking glass I see a familiar face.
She sees a girl who shares her hiding place.
I see a girl hopeless and weak.
She sees the hidden tears start to leak.
Through the looking glass I see myself.
She sees a girl reflecting herself.
I see a girl broken and in pain.
She sees a wall to hide the shame.
Through the looking glass I see no trust.
She sees no love only lust.
I cannot trust the face I see.
She sees a girl like her who isn’t free.
