"Life's a climb, but the view is great!"

God is with His Children
I know that this is true,
He watches over me
And He watches over you;
He knows when you laugh and cry
He hears each ones quiet sighs,
I know that He is right near by
God is with His children.
God is with His children
He knows them very well,
He even saved my sinful soul
From falling into hell.
He'll help you in the good times,
He'll help you in the bad,
He comforts when your feeling sad;
This thought makes me very glad!
God is with His children.
God is with His children
He knows them all by name,
And when it comes for them to die
Their souls He will reclaim.
Then as we stand before His throne
His face we all shall see;
And oh, what a glorious day
that shall be!
when God is with His Children.

I wrote this for extra credit in my history class! This is also my first poem, so it might not be as great as other poems. Enjoy, and feel free to comment.

“The dye has been cast. The decision has been made. I have stepped over the line. I won’t look back, let up, slow down, or back away. My past is redeemed, my present makes sense, my future secure. I’m done with low living, sight walking, small planning, colorless dreams, tamed visions, mundane talking, cheap living and dwarfed goals: I no longer need preeminence, prosperity, positions, promotions, or popularity. I don’t have to be right, first, tops, recognized, praised, regarded or rewarded. I now live by faith, lean on His presence, walk with patience, live by prayer and labor with power. My face is set, my goal is Heaven, my road is narrow, my way is rough, my companions are few, my Guide is reliable, my mission clear. I cannot be bought, compromised, detoured, lured away, turned back, deluded or delayed. I will not flinch in the face of sacrifice, hesitate in the presence of adversary, negotiate at the table of the enemy, ponder at the pool of popularity or meander in the maze of mediocrity. I won’t give up, shut up, let up, until I have stayed up, stored up, prayed up, paid up, and spoken up for the cause of Christ. I am a disciple of the lord Jesus Christ.” - African martyred for Christ.

Beautiful! This poem is awesome, I love it! Great job!:)

Faith is like learning to walk; you have to fall at first, but don't stay down. When in doubt, don't stop believing.

Awesome!!! I love it!

I love this poem. I agree with April. When you read this it makes losing people easier somehow. I want to print it out and paste it to my wall so when I lose someone I'll be reminded that the person really is in a better place.

My eyes are seriously watering. I absolutely love this poem. The end gives me comfort from those I have lost. Everyone always says that people are in a better place or that it will be okay cause God is with you or even that he sees everything you do. But this sums it all up in a comforting and beautiful way. I LOVE it.

You're not serious that this is your poem? I agree that you should turn it into a children's book. GOD LOVES!!! Keep writing!
