When I died
I had a conversation with a ghost who had an ungodly claim
he said "Heaven is not a place, and god doesn't have a name."
When I enquired further, all he could say
was "Soon you'll go upward son- get ready for the day."

When I died
I had a conversation with a somber soul who had a most depressing theory-
"We live to love and once its gone, the world gets mighty dreary."
We floated up together, praying for cosmic life
we passed jupiter and all his moons, narrowly passed by a rushing satelite.

When I died,
at last were close to landing
a bright, brillant light flashed and not one man could see
we were in a parlor, the home of an entity.

When I died
A mighty man, brutish and mighty appeared with a cookbook in his hand
he said "Welcome! You can flavor up this stew! Its getting very bland!"
I asked him for some wisdom,
but he shook his head and said-
"I guess I'm god, but it never goes to my head.
The water is boiling now
so if you could just pop into the pot...
I'll butter you up and throw you in
your just food for some cosmic god."

all we are is food for some cosmic god

This piece is designed to be humorus. I got the idea from King Neptune in Spongebob. Hope you enjoy it.

I actually don't think this is humorous...I enjoyed it--a lot, actually--but I thought it went deeper than being Spongebob. It kind of gives a theory that somone might think about an afterlife. I don't know. It made me think, so I think it's a really good poem.

This is certainly one of my favorites: "I will become even more undignified than this, and I will be humiliated in my own eyes." -2 Samuel 6:22

You are a very talented writer I would say, but as a word of advice, I would caution you to be careful when writing about topics as serious as this. I know that your take on this was to be humorus, but please acknowledge that this is a sensitive topic and your words could be considered offensive to some. I'm sure you have a wonderful future ahead for you and your writing; please don't think of my comments as judgment, I fully respect your beliefs. God bless, ...,
