Dad's Eclipse
As I look at my dad jump up to see the sun
I knew right then and there what had begun
The dark figure crept up on the bright figure
In hopes to create darkness without the night
The joy in my dad’s face slowly shifted as the darkness came
As if he did not feel so amazed
The world started to dimmer
As my dad’s mood continued to simmer
Time went by quickly as if it seemed like night
But my dad reassured me that the light will occur soon again
And indeed, it did, again.
