Sarah
Sarah was a hurt little child
She was beat really badly and her pain wasn’t mild,
Her hair was pulled she was kicked and slapped
Her lips were bleeding, red, and chapped,
Sarah’s momma always beat her bad
Sarah in her life never really had a dad,
Dad was in the war were millions had died
Sarah’s mom was so hurt that she had cried,
Sarah’s mom soon became upset and hurt
She started treating Sarah like nothing but dirt,
But when Sarah rebelled and took no more
Sarah then knew what she was living for,
Living for joy; not hate and despair
Now her momma never even gave her a glare,
Sarah looks back now on her past
She’s thankful the day she rebelled wasn’t her last.
