He said he's sorry, took his hand and wiped a fake tear.
But I wont take it, this faking, ain't accepted here.
I'm not just a girl, with no beating heart.
I remember when, and what you said at the start.
When you tell somene you love them, they don't take it slow.
You should never say anything, until you know.
Because now you're faking, and my hearts breaking.
Slow and steady, my goodbye is ready.
you don't want me to pull back, but I'm letting go.
Next time maybe you'll think 'fore you know.

He says he takes it back, all the things he said.
But it's way too late, once I'm crying in my bed.
Late at night, when I'm looking to the sky.
I'm thinking and wondering to myself, why?
Why was he like that, when he wasn't before.
It's too late for mending, my hearts already tore.
You don't want me to pull back, but I'm letting go.
Next time maybe you'll think 'fore you know.

He's begging me please stay,
don't slip away.
But I can't keep wondering why every day.
You thought you loved me, but it's plain for all to see.
That your thoughts quickly changed for me.
You've never been like this, I can't stand it anymore.
Let's just say goodbye, my hearts already tore.
So forever now, I'm letting go.
But please promise me, next time you'll think 'fore you know.

wow. this says so much, demonstrates so much torn, raw emotion so well... could you maybe look at my stuff? I love the way you describe it, how delicious u make each word taste, and how much feeling is displayed in this poem.
