The White Walls Merge
The white walls merge
with the tiled floors
and your beautiful face
fills the room
your shining smile
fills the room
And your lips move
I look right at them
your lips move
but they don't say much
'What?'
Your lips are moving
'what?!'
more rapidly this time
a little faster this time
I look around
The White walls are brown
and I choke on the only things
I know as words
A little closer this time
Less patient this time
More anger this time
'Maybe she'll hear me this time?'
The white walls are thin
'They can hear you!
Every word you say!
they can hear it!'
And the white walls are closer
The white walls are listening
The white walls have eyes
The white walls cave in
