knows shes not beauty
hopes shes not the beast
wants to be the "and" that lies safely beneath the feast
of the tender young souls in ninth grade
she floats through the halls begging to exit
the nightmare,the dream,the heaven and hell
of a rollercoaster ride they call highschool-unscathed
and leave it all behind
