Springing far, springing free,
Safe in his insanity
Ruled by laws that never were
But in his mind, hard and sure

The rules of steel, another land
Rules that bind, a wedding band
Wedded to this crazy dream
Where he never hears their screams

When they lie upon the floor
Helpless, reaching for the door
He knows no rules, to let them lie
And breathes in their cries to die

This came from reading the beginning of It. there are no rules in the clown's mind, only his own. Old Steve brings out the best in us.

Oh. My. Gosh. That was amazing. Plus, you used one of my favorite meters and rhyme scemes, so I may be a bit biased. Fantastic.
