Flowers in the Fall MAG
I knew of love once,
but I've since forgotten.
Lost amidst a lonely ambiance,
I've staggered off the path.
I've fallen headfirst through the brush
of moonlit dinners
and a high-school crush.
I've been pricked and bled
and beaten and bruised
and down that road my heart's been abused.
I've seen how the flowers in fall
can form the background of love
and make us crawl,
and crawled the path that leads to pain.
But I've laughed at love
knowing it's all the same.
A game
A kiss
A touch
Sweet bliss.
Yes, I once knew what it meant to love
and smell the flowers in the fall.
