Farewell
I stood there watching,
Watching them empty our home,
Home where we bloomed,
Bloomed under it’s protective dome.
I touched the walls,
Walls that we painted,
Painted with all our memories,
Memories that will soon be repainted.
My mind took me back,
Back to the happy times,
Times when we danced and laughed,
Laughed as we were in our lives’ primes.
The beige couch and blue pillow,
Pillow which saw our dreams,
Dreams that could never be fulfilled,
Fulfilled because we were two separate teams.
Now we bid farewell to our house,
House with the creaking wooden floor,
Floor that could hold itself together,
Together like we can’t anymore.
