My Safe Place

Water had always felt like a safe place to me.
I’d spend hours in the summer swimming in it and looking at it.
When it was disturbed, the ripples would mesmerize me.
Now, standing on this bridge looking down below, the water looked more beautiful than ever and I couldn’t wait to jump in.
