Remember That Day?
Remember that time when we were little kids, and we had quite the “playdate” at your old house?
It happened on one of those astonishing summer evenings with the sky painted gold, no clouds, no rain, no sweat… just perfect.
Remember on that day, you tried to add an entry fee to the mini art gallery that you had created in your room
Only because on that specific day, I chose to show off the first dollar coin that I had collected
You wanted the dollar coin so badly, that you added a last-second fee that “whatdoyaknow”, just happened to cost exactly one dollar coin
Remember on that day, the incredibly delicious, sweet, warm, crunchy, mouth-watering, berry-filled, sugar sprinkled homemade baked scones that your mom made
I so desperately wanted to eat every scone on the table, but my appetite said otherwise
Remember all of the games that we played downstairs, you had a whole floor level in your house dedicated just to you, it was filled to the brim with all sorts of nintendo toys, nintendo games, and nintendo consoles.
Remember all of the fun times we had down there, all the games of mario that we played.
You know, I never really was the biggest nintendo fan, which might be why we don’t talk as much
Because at the time, the only thing you knew was nintendo, you’d have the nintendo gamecube, the ds, 3ds, Wii, WiiU, switch, heck, you had literally every nintendo gaming console and game ever, and I’m not even exaggerating.
It has been 8 years since I moved away, and now I realized that I should’ve taken this missed opportunity sooner
I should have visited you more, played with you more, spent more time with you
But we’ll be off to college soon, so I guess it’s now or never
We’ve got a lot of things to catch up on, but with no time to spare
