One size fits all
“One size fits all”
Laura Rogne,
If one size fits all, what of those too tall
What of those who cannot fit the mold?
Must they simply fold to a system created in times of old
Meant to shape young minds meant to stifle and confine
Why has school become a rifle?
Sit in your seat do not speak do not sleep,
School is important
But so is the ability to leap,
Into creativity into fun, into laughter into puns
We wonder why school systems are failing why students are bailing
How is learning to be entertaining when all it is is training
To fit into a mold that is hundreds of years old
Why must it be so draining?
Intended to turn kids into the minds of the future
When it forbids any form of individuality
Taking away children's personalities,
If one size fits all,
Why do we drain children of who they are
The minds of the future, are molds of the past
It leaves me to wonder, how long will this last
What will it take to see
Is this the way learning should be?
