I remember the day
We swore to stay loyal
The day we knew never could part
I remember the day
I stepped on your own soil
And I knew we would never depart

I remember the day
You grasped my hand when I fell
The day when I stumbled unseen
I remember the day
When you pulled my head out of hell
And like wolves our senses stayed keen

I can hold back the day
When we were together as one
And no fury of fear could turn our souls
I can hold back the day
When we entered the fray
Solemn and strong in our roles

I can touch the day
When we fought back to back
You had my left flank
And I blocked their attacks,
I can touch the day
When in the heat of the battle
I cried out with laughter
At our glory and fame

I still see the day
When we smiled with warmth
When we were loyal in flesh
And honest in bone
I still see the day
When we had troubles no more
For we opened our souls
At grounds of desolate lore

So then what’s going on?
Why do you leave me right now
When the slice of dire blades
Cut into the peace we sow
Why do you turn
Turn your back on my grace
When the enemy comes
And cuts into my face
Why are you smiling
Why are you so happy
When you know damn well
that it Is upon a friend that you trod

What happened to you?
Where were those days when we were once one
Where were those days when we flourished under sun,
Friend are you lost
Are you blind, can’t you see
What your horrible ignorance
Is doing to me
How is it that
My closest friend
Turns around
And stabs me with a blade I once lent
So tell me then
Why do you still smile
And watch me shrivel
Reside and fly away for a while

I don’t know you
For friends just don’t do so,
They don’t turn their back on a comrade
In times of woe
A stranger to me
You have become
Friends aren’t demons
They would step back for another
Then who are you
But a pile of ashes to smother.

Who are you
But a stranger
