Then, Now, and Forever
Snacking on popcorn and Starburst
While watching a movie
Wondering when you'll get your first
One perfect kiss
Loving word pass
Talking in his car
Then, you get, at last
One perfect kiss
Tears in your eyes, nodding yes
He slips a ring on your finger
Then he gives you, what we can all guess
One perfect kiss
Saying the words "I do"
Eyes locked onto each other
You give each other a true
One perfect kiss
A baby's soft coo
In the hospital room
Your husband gives each of you
One perfect kiss
On a deathbed, almost cast
From your wonderful life
He leans down and gives you a last
One perfect kiss

This is a poem I was forced to write for English class. The English teacher really likes my poems. I don't really like writing poems, otherwise.
