In your Eyes
An angel, wings of fire
A devil, selfish satire
God, hearty desire
Human, dire
A form he beholds
In my mind it withholds
A dream shows
A heart that follows
Bargain for him to hold
An image, I mould
For an eternity, I am told
He glitters and is gold
Oh heart, lay silent
Save me from this torment
My mind, a tyrant
A battle of love, yet strident.
A forever, ecstatic
Yet remains estranged
A lover, emblematic
let me deranged
eyes, they seek of your poison
love, an arson
to be left in vain
In the land of nod, I remain.
