World depression in Africa,
No food, no water.
AIDS comes and goes -
No help, no fervor.

World Religions are kind of useless,
They only start wars.
From Pakistan and India -
To the Spanish and the Indians.

And poor Israel, I think,
Is on the very brink
of plotting a nuclear war...
No, actually joking, I think that's Korea.

India and Pakistan
Actually no longer stand
Together, as they should.
That's as IF Afghanistan would.

And way out in the Middle East,
The turkey vultures have a feast
As everyone fights together,
And nothing really matters.

In America, women have no fight -
They could stay out the entire night....
As opposed to elsewhere,
where husbands have so many wives,
And those wives stay at home all day.
But if they do go out,
They have to wear a chador,
Where they are covered to the floor.

The Europens have it all -
And their buildings, O! so very tall!
England takes over,
They seem to own the world.
Their influence seems to spread across the globe.
Even Africa and others were under their control!

Civil wars explode
In the African native lands.
And in other places,
Many people laugh as gunfire and arrows
Hit their faces -
Because that means for them the war is over.

Genocide in Rwanda was a terrible sight -
Everyone dies as the poison leaks
into their systems as
Poison comes up from the
Bowels of the earth.
Rwanda, cry out for help!
Many see your distress!
Let them embrace you,
Wipe the tears from your eyes and
Let your heart be freed!
Let them fix this mess!

Tilting, lilting notes from above
Sound like a wail;
Crying, pleading...
Sadness...
Soon...
A catchy jungle beat,
With drums and various songs,
Together to suit the wild throngs.
To tell a history,
To say a name...
To make it happen...
Again.

Really nice poem. It has a great message and I love the last paragraph. Good work. :)
