My world is perfect for me
Not for my best friend
Or my worst enemy
Just me
There are birds of every color
And species
And a couple I made up
Every fish ever
Every land animal
Known to man
“Two by two,”
God told Noah
There are mythical creatures
There are dinosaurs
And dodos
Dingoes and Dogs
Unicorns and sea monsters
Ancient Greek and Roman
Monsters Galore
There’s Hercules and Prince Charming
And knights from A-Z
Kings and Queens
And Fairytale fantasies
There’s rainbows and sunshine
Except when the depression creeps up
And it’s place you’d pay to stay away from
But I can never escape
I have to live with the sorrow
That follows me like a storm cloud
That’s always overhead
