I want to close my eyes and fall
Not caring what consequences lay before me
To free fall into the unknown
Nothing that’s been discovered before

I want to feel the wind against my face
Whipping my hair then tossing it back
Floating through the clouds,
Soft and alluring

The ground is drawing ever near
But I am neither worried nor afraid
For I know that he is there to catch me if I fall

My arms slide into his
Staggering with a sudden dropping force
And my eyes open while a smile spans my face

I want to close my eyes
And slip away
With him holding me until the end
So peaceful that it seems too good to be true

He was there when I needed him
He believed in me even when I didn’t feel like believing in myself
He stood before me and cradled me
Protected me from any harm
My head in his arms
I knew that it was all right to cry

I want to close my eyes and fall
Hopefully into his sweeping arms
Where I know that everything is safe

So I’m taking that chance
I’m just going to close my eyes and fall
Free falling into the unknown
And I’ll never worry about hitting the bottom
Because I know that he’s there
To catch me if I fall
