Life’s a goblet.
Why not drink?

Life’s the ocean.
Why not surf?

Life’s a cliff.
Why not imagine the utter freedom of the fall?

Life’s a couch.
Why not sit?

Life’s a microphone.
Why not pick it up and sing?

Life’s a pen.
Why not write?

Life’s a computer.
Why not click the mouse?

Life’s a camera.
Why not snap a picture?

Life’s the catchy tune in the club.
Why not dance?

Life’s a journey.
Why not buckle up and get ready for the ride?
It’s going to take you along,
Anyway.

I just wanted this to be something inspirational about life. Like, why not live it happily? You're going to have to live it anyway.

I can't remember it clearly, but it went something like this:

"The past is the past, the future is the furture. But now, now is like a gift, which is why it is called present."

AWESOME!! I really like it! I like how you added... what u did.... to the end!! I enjoyed it!!

This one is good enough to be in the magazine. It's springy and full of life ('scuse the pun)

Thanks, His-Bright-Green-Eyes! I just thought of random, ordinary things to use as metaphors, really.

Whoever laughs first has the sickest mind.

This is really god. I like the line "Life's a couch. Why not sit?" that one is a good line. I like all of it though. Very good!! Keep up the good work!

Sara, thanks so much for your comment! The metaphors I just got looking around my room. I'm really glad that my poem has had a pretty big effect on you. That's the message I wanted to convey, and I'm happy to hear that I conveyed it!

I love the metaphors. This poem actually had a pretty big effect on me since I've been kind of apathetic about life lately. Thanks for the comment!
