Reach
Everyone has a star so close they can feel
The heat emanating from its fiery core
And you try to grab it but miss by inches
When all you wanted was to be something more
You live your life trying to tear off a label
That was given to you by hypocrites at most
Who let others carry their own burdens
Just so they have the time and energy to boast
So I tell you to reach and dive past all your problems
Grab the star that’s been clouded by doubt and fear
Let its flame of desire burn deep inside you
From the wish, oh so far, but inevitably near
Now surround yourself with your real and true friends
Those who love you solely for your own self
And who ignore the kinds that are made in factories
With several clone-like copies still sitting on the shelf
Just set free your spirit with its own unique flame
And don’t be afraid just to be who you are
If you haven’t noticed yet, a miracle has happened
Congratulations, my friend, you have just grabbed your star
