Dear Moon,
I long to journey the stars with you
To lie in the night sky
Shining alongside you
To illuminate the path
Out of the darkness
To feel your light
That white glow
Radiating
Off your face
Onto mine
But alas
I am forced
To look above
Watching you grow
I remain stuck, planted
As you travel, rotating around
Miles away from me
Missing you from afar,
An earthly admirer
