Giving Thanks Through Poetry
Giving Thanks to My Loving Mom
There once was a woman name Susan, a very remarkable mom and friend
Who did not care about keeping up with any trend,
For she was always herself. She had short brown hair
And brown eyes that could hold down any stare.
She was not extremely short or unusually tall,
and she had the face of a beautiful doll.
She was an exceptional accountant and fair player.
Whenever she needed guidance, she says a prayer.
She brought joy and laughter to everyone she knew,
And she made people happy even when she was feeling blue.
She worked hard for everything that she wished for,
So that she earns what she desired and more.
There was never a moment where she was not brave and strong.
She never does anything that she knew was wrong,
For she believed in what was right. She was part of a sisterhood
That understood the meaning of being good.
Even when some people were mean and gave her spite,
She never wants to commence a fight.
She always is there for anyone in times of need,
And anyone is thankful to have Susan as a friend, indeed.
