let it burn, suffering teaches the soul; let it grow, love nourishes the heart.

tale youve spun
weather you are young or old,
your future may not be told,
yet when you are in your deathbed,
you have the clearest head,
you accept what tale youve spun,
and that for you it will soon be done,
but while your still alive and going,
your tale will be slowing,
until your last breath,
when you will meet death,
but if in this life your not his equal,
then perhaps you will be in your sequal,
for when you meet death you may be fortunate enough to have second breath.

The author's comments:
after my first poem i just decided to start writing poems whenever possible. this one was inspired by greek myths, they gave me the idea that your story could never truly be told until you had died. also that some poeple may be fortunate to get another chance at life.

I like how you explore death and the possible outcomes, and again how you should live life to the fullest. A really thought-provoking poem!! Your work is well written, and full of feeling!
