Look into her shadow

I stand in her shadow;
Forever in the dark.
Like silver on gold,
Like a moon eclipsed by the sun,
I am paled by her brilliance.
I watch the spotlight,
Never on me,
But attracted to her every move.
I dream of a world when the sun sets, and there are no shadows.
But how can that be?
She personifies sun.
If you are every looking for the personified moon,
Look into her shadow;
There I will be waiting.
