Ode to this Dusty Shelf
Ode to this dusty shelf,
Where I go to show myself.
Ode to the whispering teens,
Desperate for more,
Such, like feins.
Ode to the sound of the scanner,
And behind the desk banter.
Ode to the pages above,
Whom of which speak of love.
Ode to the children learning to read,
Now they know how to read me.
Ode to those on this dusty shelf,
Who remind me,
I'm not all by myself.

Ode poems I see as a gratification to or about someone or thing. I have a great admiration for books, libraries, and librarians. They hold so many different worlds within their hands. Have you ever thought of how many books libraraies hold? Its magnificent!
