The Warehouse
I see the rats scurrying across the floor
The fleas that infect them and cause them to itch
The disease-ridden pigeons that stay in the rust-covered raftors above
The fresh white snow slowly cascading down through the jagged tear in the ceiling
The feral cats that growl and hiss whenever a stranger is present
The dust covered boxes and shelves that line the walls
I see the town in which the warehouse sits, empty, isolated waiting for the day it is no more
