silver heart
I wear a
silver heart on
a silver chain,
but it belongs
to no Man.
I’m selfish
with it.
When they think
they’ve got my
silver heart in their
closed hand, I pull
away, and they’re left
without it.
They like the
way it glitters.
They look but
can’t touch. I
don’t let them
touch. I
won’t let them
take my heart.
