These voices inside my head
Tell me
What to do

What to think

What to say
How to live

I'm tired of this cage
With its bars so tight
I can barely breathe

These golden wings of mine

So pure

So light
Can not take me away
From this wretched place

Sand is falling
In my hourglass
And I'm frightened

Will I ever be free?

I really like your poetry style! You keep your poems short and simple, but pack a lot of meaning into every phrase. This is a really powerful poem! Great job, and keep writing!
