Allow me a moment
To bask in the gentle memory.
Fleeting and faint,
It will only take a second.
The memory stirred
By a breeze
…the sun
…the sky.
And just for a moment.
Let me go back.
Let me feel the blanket
Of security and warmth
Wrap me in its gentle folds
As it once did.
Allow me a moment?
Just one sweet moment?

The author's comments:
I find that the faintest memories that seem to be locked in the recesses of my mind can only be stirred by the simplest of things. A perfect breeze or a gentle smell can stir the most powerful memories and I think it's important to stop on occassion and simply feel.
