I’m scared of the dark.
I’m not scared of what is in the dark but the dark itself
I’m scared of secrets.
I’m not scared of what they contain but the context in which they are told
I’m scared of myself.
Not of what I can’t do but what I can
I’m scared of dissapointment.
Not of failure but of never being good enough
I’m scared of pain.
Not of receiving but of feeling
I’m scared of death.
Not of dying but of letting everyone down
