Fifteen Minutes
Fifteen minutes to write what I want,
but what could that be? The answer I’ll hunt.
Write about life or to write a short story?
Should I write about hardships, or a king and his glory?
Do I write about music, what it means to me,
or mention the secrets of our destinies?
Fifteen minutes, oh how time moves so slow,
as we all sit here writing, aligned in our rows.
Still no answer has come while I think of some rhymes,
so I’ll just keep on rambling, passing the time.
Next week is Thanksgiving. Oh, what a day.
I’ll get stuck with my family, forced to stay.
But school will be short. Thank goodness for that.
And finally I’m done as a matter of fact.
