Finally Ready
Today, I was finally ready.
Ready to take control of my life;
Take back the reins and use them according to my pace.
Today, I starred myself in the eyes of my twin sister on the other side of the mirror and said,
"You can do this. Just get your shit together and take it one step at a time. It doesn't matter if you make a mistake, just keep going."
I found inner peace as the real me showed herself through the cracks of my broken heart; illuminating the planet with rays that shine like the sun on an early spring morning.
I guess I just got tired of looking for the light, so I became it.
