Does She Wear Makeup?
I wonder if she wears makeup;
that soldier on the field
fighting with her life,
with her own free will.
Fighting for our country,
for our freedom,
for our rights
wondering if she’ll live or not
to see another night.
I wonder if she’s sad
thinking she may die,
never to see her family again;
the thought’s sad enough to cry.
I’d be pretty sure she’s proud though
whether she wears makeup or does not.
For the reasons why she’s fighting
there’s a lesson to be taught.
