In Touch With Nature
Like many other teenagers, I easily get lost in the fast moving pace of life. I forget the feeling of the warm sun on my face, and the cool grass under my body. Yet I didn't realize what I was missing out on until the day I sat down on the grass after a run and breathed in the fresh air. At that moment, I felt a sudden burst of brilliance and relief. Thus, I decided to capture that moment in this simple yet meaningful photograph. The focus of the camera was on the middle part of the grass and the nature, which contrasts to the misconception of focus on people. I wanted to bring out the vastness of the grass itself to represent the minute part of human society in nature. The background is a fence that blocks out the school behind it, all of which is out of focus. The result is the idea that being able to be in touch with the vastness and simplicity of nature and block out the stress and complexity of life, giving you a sense of freedom and relief.
