Good Enough
She stood in front of the mirror looking at it intently.
In the mirror was someone different.
This person looked like her but the way the world expected her to be.
With loads of makeup, cotton making her butt bigger.and perfectly painted nails.
She squinted trying to get a better look at the other girl.
Blinking, she saw her old-self smiling wearing nothing but jeans and a wrinkling t-shirt.
This girl in the mirror looked the way everyone told her to be.
She listened to all the people who told her she was a nothing.
Just so she would be Good Enough.
