In This Photo
In this photo, your face smushed against mine, you look young. Our eyes seem to follow the same curves. Our smiles different, but still a smile. Such simplicity in a picture, no planing. It's hard to think clearly why looking at this picture. I've become mesmerized by your smile. In this picture my anxiety is gone. My mind was occupied by the way you look at me. Without thought, we place our faces comfortably next to each other. Such ease between two bodies. To body separated every day by normal life, only to come back to each other. In this photo we are safe. Our experiences haven't educated us on what love is. Only on the way our chests tighten when we hear the other say our name. Only on the thoughts in our time sensitive minds. No expectations, just reassurance. No future, but time.
In this photo we are a moment.
You,
are my favorite moment.
