Glass Hearts
We are all so broken. We start of our lives whole and happy. But, one event shatters our hearts into a million little pieces, like shards of glass. The space between the pieces of our hearts holds our tears. They are kept there, like a reservoir. That is why we can not cry, even if we want to. Our tears are not readily available. It is not until something happens that begins to make us hole again that we may cry. The pieces of our hearts begin to be stitched together, and the tears are pushed out of the way and squeezed into our tear ducts. That is the moment that we may begin crying again. Little by little each tear drop leads to a mended heart. The space between the brokenness of our hearts is emptied, and the pieces are finally put together again.
