Drinking age should not be lowered

In regards to Harold G’s article on lowering the legal age that alcohol should be consumed, I believe that the current legal age to consume alcohol is just fine as it is. Some teens aren’t responsible enough to handle alcohol at 16 or some even 18. This would get taken advantage of easier than anyone thinks it could. Just because people already break the law doesn’t mean the law should conform around people’s irresponsible actions. People should respect the law and if they so choose to break it than suffer the consequences.
