What has President Barrack Obama done for our country since his election in 2008? When Mr. Obama was fighting to get elected President in 2008, he blamed the country’s economic problems on, “irresponsible decisions that were made on Wall Street and in Washington.” He said that, “The economic emergency is more and more severe.” When explaining how he was going to fix this severe problem he said, “I've laid out an economic strategy in this campaign that I think will provide short-term relief and long-term growth.” If he meant out of control growth in the national debt and record high unemployment, he has fulfilled his promise.

Since Barrack Obama became President our great country has suffered from ever increasing economic trials. The United States debt has been steadily increasing by an average of $4.2 billion per day. Just to put that into perspective, it would take the average American (making about $45 thousand a year) more than 93,332 years to pay a day’s worth of America’s debt. According to Foxnews.com, in Mr.Obama’s first 1 thousand days as president, he accumulated as much debt as America accumulated in it’s first 79,135 days (from 1776-1993). With our economy in such a difficult and fragile situation, what does President Obama do with our money? He spends nearly 380 billion U.S. dollars to extend unemployment benefits. Those $380 billion have helped our unemployment rate rise approximently 1.8% higher than the highest rate under President Bush. Overall the economy is only getting worse under President Obama.

With economic hardship sweeping across America what does President Obama do with our tax dollars? First, he spent over $170 million on his inauguration; much more then any other President has ever spent. Second, he allowed his wife to spend over $10 million on her family vacation in 2011. Third, he allowed the U.S. tax payers to buy him two $1.1 million dollar campaign buses to use in his bid for re-election.

For the sake of brevity, I have only provided three examples of President Obama’s use of American tax-dollars for his personal extravagances. With a simple internet search one can find many more examples.

Since he become President the country’s economic crisis has worsened dramatically. More Americans are unemployed. Our national debt has increased by an unimaginable amount. More than anything else, American’s seem to be losing hope (something President Obama promised to supply).
