Fast Food – Healthy or Hurtful?

There are fast food places all around the world. From McDonalds to Burger King. They just keep making more and more. Whenever you drive past them you never see them empty.

Fast food obesity is becoming a problem because a lot more people not thinking about how it will affect them.

A lot of money is spent buying the fast food and advertising it nowadays. Billions of money is spent each year on fast food advertisement directed at kids. However they can be directed to adults as well.

On commercials and advertising they make it look really good and healthy. But in reality it’s not healthy at all. They make the food look appealing and healthy and it costs a lot of money to do it so they can get good business. Kids need to realize that just because food looks good, doesn’t mean you should eat it. Because it might be very bad for you and could affect you in the future if you fall for the commercials or advertisements.

Fast food lovers gain more weight each year than people who don’t eat fast food. Fast-food lovers consume more fats, sugars and carbohydrates and fewer fruits and non-starchy vegetables than youngsters who don’t eat fast food. They also consumed 187 more daily calories, which likely adds up to about six pounds more per year. So this means that people who eat more fast food than others gain more weight in a year.

Fast food lovers should start to eat healthier. People who always eat fast food always gain more weight a year then people who rarely have fast food. It is usually more adults that are obese I think because they can drive themselves there whenever they want to. This could affect fast food eaters in the future meaning that each year you would gain more and more weight. I think it is really bad that people eat so much fast food. I would say to not have it all the time and maybe just once in a while.

So many people are becoming obese. Especially adults. Nearly 15% of U.S. youngsters and almost one third of adults are obese. This means that there are more adults that are obese compared to kids. The reason for this is because they can drive and they have been living longer.

I don’t think that it is healthy to be eating fast food everyday. There are half as many kids as adults that are now obese. There are about 15% more adults that are obese. Soon enough the numbers will be the same because parents take their kids to get fast food a lot now. When parents don’t feel like making dinner, a lot of the times parents go get fast food and I think that is bad for peoples health.

There has been recent data that suggests that obesity related diseases have risen sharply. Since the early 1970s, the share of children age 6 to 19 classified as overweight has more than tripled, from 5 percent to 17 percent, while the share of adults classified as overweight or obese rose from half to two-thirds of the population. Over this same period, the number of fast food restaurants more than doubled. So this means that all of these numbers have increased a lot from the 1970s.

These numbers are increasing rapidly and drastically. I think that the age six to nineteen is a really big range and that six is a really young age to eat fast food. To kids and teenagers it is just food that tastes good to them and they could eat it all day long. But they don’t realize that it is affecting them and that its unhealthy. To me, the age six to eight is a really young age to start having fast food and it will affect them more.

Many people believe that fast food won’t ever affect people in the future. Some people eat so much but never gain weight. But even if that is the case for you, it is still really unhealthy food and you shouldn’t be eating it. However this is not the case for a lot of people. Most of the peoples body react to the food. Some people might like to look fuller and have more shape. But you still have a chance of getting an obesity related disease and should try to eat healthier.

If people keep eating so much fast food, then our society will greatly be affected in the future. Obesity is going to cause a large number of deaths if people don’t stop eating so much fast food. So the next time you think about getting fast food, think about what you are about to eat. A way you can help people eat healthier at fast food restaurants is by giving the workers a new healthier recipe for all the foods, but it still would taste the same.
