My Room
I close the door, and inevitably trip over the clothes I swore I picked up yesterday. I kick them out of the way and immediately turn on my iPod. Whatever emotions I feel, the music playing comforts me and conforms to those emotions. I grow, learn, and am myself here. This is where I am one hundred percent me. If I were to say I am this anywhere else that would be a lie, and I don’t like lies. My mood changes with the songs on shuffle. The music allows me to sing at the top of my lungs or cry in sorrow. Either way the music playing is nearly all I will ever need. I guess you could say music is like my air. The color splashed on the walls resembles a bright blue sky, or the waves of paradise. Picture frames on the walls remind me of all the important people in my life. A quote posted by the door reminds me to live, love and laugh daily. My room is my safe haven, my space, and is a part of me.
