Wisconsin Seasons
In Wisconsin, everyone complains about the weather. We sure do have a complete range of seasons, but complaining does no good. It is better to find beauty in the place you live.
The leaves are the finest shades of auburn in the early fall, and there is just the right amount of breeze. This time of year sees an influx of deer. This is ideal if you enjoy hunting, as many Wisconsin residents do. As long as you take care to avoid hitting them with your vehicle.
In the winter, the trees are bare, and you feel like you're driving through an endless white wasteland until the sun comes out and you see it shine on the snow, and the snow sparkles.
When spring finally arrives, all of the frogs, bugs, squirrels, and bunnies emerge from hibernation. If you're anything like me, you adore seeing all of these animals up close while strolling through the Kettle Moraine State Forest—just don't wear pricey shoes, as mud will inevitably get on them.
You've made it to summer now that you've endured all the other seasons, and a Wisconsin summer is unlike any other summer. You look forward to the State Fair or Wisconsin Dells all year long, so you, friends and family travel great distances to get there. You stop at Kwik Trip for gas on the way and hope you arrive in time to get the hot, ready-to-eat lunch. Although a milkshake would be acceptable.
If you take the time to search for it, Wisconsin's scenery is preferable to some of the most well-known locations in the United States, even though it may not be exciting enough for everyone. I wouldn't have wanted to grow up anywhere other than Wisconsin, a place for those who appreciate the little pleasures in life.
