Hockey

March 13, 2008
By Anonymous

With fire in your hearts and ice in your veins,
Your skates are laced tight and you're ready to play.
Go show these guys you know how to skate;
If you work your hardest, the winners you'll stay,
and stay out of the box because there's no pride in shame.
Hockey is more than just a physcial game;
A team and a family, they're one in the same.
Going through warm ups, you know what's at stake,
But the pride in your team is what you can't fake.
With one minute left, your whole body shakes,
But try your hardest to forget all the pain,
Because when the red light goes on it will all go away.

Great rhythm in this poem. You really demonstrated your love for hockey through the context!
