Eyelashes
Morning time. Time to apply black onto my eyelashes to make them dark and voluminous. Combing them so they reach up to the sky. Seven minutes used to make sure each lash is placed exactly how I want. Seven minutes to make sure they are long and luscious. I wish for my brown eyes to stand out the most. My eyelashes are alive, as are my eyes.
My sisters’ eyes also stand out like neon yellow in the dark. Each eyelash combed to perfection with a big black brush. Spending seven minutes curling and brushing them upwards. Eyes are the focal point of the face. Eyes are our family.
But he doesn’t need to do this. His naturally long and luscious eyelashes are enough as they fly up to the sky and curl like hair would. Zero minutes to make sure they are what he wants. He doesn’t have to think about it in the morning.
Different ways of going about our eyes, but we still all have the same ones. Each with long lashes that draw attention to our eyes.
